Ikea has announced the launch of its PS 2026 collection, a lineup of 44 playful and functional furniture pieces designed for home offices and living spaces, set to be available in stores from May 14 and online from May 22. The collection emphasizes versatility and creative design, aiming to blend practicality with playful aesthetics.
The PS 2026 collection includes innovative items such as a chair-bed designed by Matilda Lindstam Nilsson, which transforms from a chair to a full-length bed with pocket springs, and a sofa-bed by Ola Wihlborg that accommodates two people. The collection also features a rocking wooden bench by Marta Krupińska, which underwent design challenges to ensure durability while maintaining recyclability, and a flexible lamp created in collaboration with designer Lex Pott, featuring adjustable swivel points for multiple lighting configurations.
Additional pieces include a low-tech stool with a ratchet mechanism by Mikael Axelsson, inspired by woodworking tools, and a whimsical bedside table resembling a birdhouse, designed by Wihlborg. For home office setups, the collection offers a foldable four-seater table, a metal mesh cabinet with integrated lighting and lockable handles, and a powder-coated trolley that resembles a wedding cake, all designed for practicality and style.
